DAR stops construction of Aga Muhlach's house

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has issued a cease and desist order on the construction of the house of actor Aga Muhlach in Barangay Pugay, San Jose, Naga City.

The order, however, is not the center of heated arguments in Camarines Sur, where Aga is running for congress.

Board Member Awel Llaguno questioned the timing of the order, saying it was tainted with politics especially that Aga is a known supporter and ally of Governor L-Ray Villafuerte.

The DAR order was issued after it was learned that the construction of Aga Muhlach's two-storey house has no sanitary permit, occupancy permit, and building permit.

Lady Gaga donates $1-M to superstorm Sandy victims

As a gift from herself and her family, US pop singer Lady Gaga donated $1 million to the victims of hurricane Sandy that affected millions of lives in the United States.

"If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower East Side, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today. New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion," wika ni Lady Gaga.

The donation was channelled through the American Red Cross, which is conducting relief operations to the victims of the said superstorm.

Last week, bigtime Hollywood celebrities conducted a benefit concert that raked in $23 million.

Performers included Bruce Springsten, Jon Bon Jovi, and Christina Aguilera, among other celebrities.

Kris Aquino won't run in 2013

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino said she has recently signed two endorsement contracts that barred her from seeking any public position in 2013.

The Presidential Sister even said that the same contracts also prohibited her from marrying a politician.

“Kasi kung ang asawa mo pulitiko, ‘yong binabayad sa’yo nung kumpanya, conjugal eh, shared ninyo, nung asawa mo na politician. So in effect, parang nase-suwelduhan din nila ‘yong pulitiko,” Kris said.

Piolo Pascual - Kris Aquino Movie Will Not Happen - Source

Sorry folks. The much anticipated (?) movie that will be starred by Piolo Pascual and Kris Aquino has officially been shelved. In short, binasura. It won't happen (thank God!) and all you Piolo and Kris fans will have to wait few more years for your dream movie to come.

An industry source said that while there were initial meetings and talks about the plan of bringing together Piolo and Kris in one movie, the plan ended up in the bins. There were reasons, which, unfortunately, I will not divulge in here.

Tama na ang information na di matutuloy ang movie ng dalawa.

Pinoy Film Goes HiTech in Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles

I'm sorry but I am really not a fan of Filipino movies. I have seen just a couple of them this year and, unfortunately, not one has ever quenched my thirst for a quality Filipino film. Industry players have been banging the wall everytime imported movies earn better in the box office. Don't blame the viewers. We are always in the look out for quality movies especially now that the price of movie tickets is higher compared to the days of FPJ and Lito Lapid.

But this one movie, still coming to theaters, has caught my attention. The graphics are stunning, the color is amazing, the acts are great, and the plot (although very common) looks like it has a twist in the end. I am not a professional movie critic but I can sense that the movie Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles will hit big in the box office.
