Lady Gaga donates $1-M to superstorm Sandy victims

As a gift from herself and her family, US pop singer Lady Gaga donated $1 million to the victims of hurricane Sandy that affected millions of lives in the United States.

"If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower East Side, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today. New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion," wika ni Lady Gaga.

The donation was channelled through the American Red Cross, which is conducting relief operations to the victims of the said superstorm.

Last week, bigtime Hollywood celebrities conducted a benefit concert that raked in $23 million.

Performers included Bruce Springsten, Jon Bon Jovi, and Christina Aguilera, among other celebrities.
