Clarification on the AGB Nielsen TRO

The Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued to AGB Nielsen Media following the request of ABS-CBN was not to release data in the area where the supposed anomalies may have taken place (in Bacolod).

It does not mean that AGB could not release ratings figures in the Greater Manila Area, said GMA VP for Legal Department Atty. Dick Perez.

On Thursday, Judge Charito B. Gonzales of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 80 issued the TRO.

ABS-CBN filed charges against AGB Nielsen on Dec. 14 when the research body allegedly failed to conduct an investigation on the supposed anomaly report the Kapamilya network gathered from an informant who requested anonymity.

"Plaintiff (ABS-CBN), through counsel, demanded that the defendant shut down its TAM (Television Audience Measurement) data polling operations nationwide and to disclose to all its clients that the integrity of its panel homes was seriously compromised and that the plaintiff was not responsible therefore," read ABS-CBN's complaint.

Pacquiao movie is a comedy?

The Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Anak ni Kumander" has turned out to be a 'comedy' and not an action-drama as publicized because of awkward dialogues.

People who saw the trailer could not help but laugh while Manny Pacquiao shouted something like "Pag kalabaw ang inutang, kalabaw din ang papatay!" in a scene where he's supposed to rally his comrades to battle.

Also, the texture of the movie really looks like an 80s action film we can't fathom how come Pacquiao spent P30 million on producing it.

Gretchen denies split with Tony Boy

Gretchen Barretto denied she and Tony Boy Cojuangco called it quits. Gretchen was even just laughing the rumors off.

Come to think about it, if Tony Boy forgage Gretchen's kissing scandal with John Estrada, this might as well be an indication of a strong relationship.

"It's not true, we are not separating, we don't intend to," said Gretchen. In fact, the couple is leaving for the US for Tony Boy's check up and they are leaving together.
